Equatours Summer Spin Cycling Holiday Reviews

The Equatours Summer Spin took Ingo, Wendy and 10 Equatours guests to the beautiful region of Salzburg and Austria’s highest mountain, Grossglockner.  A fabulous cycling trip, it included a 120km warm-up spin around Zell-am-See, before the group tackled the magnificent mountain pass, which is often described as one of the toughest climbs in Europe.

While not a long ride (it’s 12.9km from the toll gate to the top), the average gradient on Grossglockner is 10%, and while the spectacular mountain scenery made the climb that little bit easier, it was a challenge for even the most experienced cyclists amongst us!

Here’s what a few members of the group had to say…

Lars, Sweden

The Summer Spin in Kaprun was indeed great! A nice break and many good memories!
Thanks a lot, I will be back next year, who can resist a Summer Spin Cycling Holiday with Equatours 🙂

Lucy, United Kingdom

Thank you for the itinerary, I so enjoyed Austria and I’m looking forward to next year’s trip already!! I would love to join. I saw Lisa last week, we met up and talked about the proposed trip so it is great to put it in the diary.

Yngve & Kari, Norway

Thank you again for a wonderful stay in Kaprun and fantastic rides. Creditable as always. Kari and I would like to book for the Summer Spin for next year. It looks like a fantastic ride 😊

Lisa, United Kingdom

I hope you are both well and your legs have recovered from Grossglockner. I had an absolutely amazing time and I just loved cycling in that area of Austria. Already looking forward to next year’s Summer Spin!

Due to the success of the tour, we have already planned our Summer Spin for next year, which will take us to Bormio in Italy and 3 awe-inspiring mountain passes.  90% of these years guests have already signed up for next year, and Team Equatours cannot wait to do it all again!
