Equatours Reviews: Mark & Sue’s Story

Mark and Sue, along with six of their friends, travelled to Thailand with us back in February in 2016, and so we were delighted when they contacted us again to arrange a tailor-made trip to Vietnam in March this year.

As Mark and Sue were keen to see as much as possible during their 2-week stay, we customised a multi-destination holiday visiting Hanoi with a cruise in Halong Bay, the ancient city of Hoi An, the colourful beach resort of Nha Trang, and of course, the vibrant city of culture and commerce, Ho Chi Minh City (previously Saigon) where they visited the Cu Chi Tunnels and sailed the Mekong Delta.

We coordinated all the flights, hotels and transfers, but gave Mark and Sue plenty of free time to explore at their leisure and meet up with their son and his friend, who just happened to be in Vietnam during their trip around the world.

Here’s what Mark & Sue had to say about us:

The whole holiday was absolutely amazing…! We were expecting it to be like Thailand but it is so different. We both agreed we liked Vietnam more than Thailand… the people are so friendly.

All internal flights were good with no problems at all…, all pick-ups were there on time, and all hotels were amazing…!

First hotel in Hanoi was right in the Old Quarter which was brilliant. The second hotel in Hoi An was absolutely stunning. It was situated on the edge of town, so when you had breakfast you were looking out over the rice fields and river, the whole place was beautiful and again the staff were so friendly and helpful. The third hotel in Nah Trang was lovely and situated right on the sea front, this is a place to unwind on the beach which is what we did for a couple of days. The final hotel in Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon) was really top-class and again located very central for getting around.

Thank you for sorting out this wonderful holiday for us Wendy it was an absolute fantastic experience and we both loved every minute of it…!
